March 31, 2024 for International Narrative Shorts, International Non-Narrative Shorts and International Children Shorts.

June 16, 2024 for National (Cyprus) Shorts. 

Before you decide to submit your film, please read the general information, as well as the festival rules & regulations. Only films completed after January 1, 2023 are eligible for the competition categories.

4. National (Cyprus) Shorts

Eligible for all the above competition categories are also student films from every year of study, not just graduation films. Please specify the academy your film was made in as production company.

1) ENTRY FORM

Register by filling out the online application available on the festival website. You can submit an unlimited number of films, however for every film a new entry form has to be filled out.

2) SCREENER

Please provide us with a link for your online screener in the box available in the online submission form. If your film is in any language other than English or Greek, you are required to provide a subtitled screener. 

3) REQIURED MATERIALS

Every film entry needs to include at least one still in jpg or png (300 dpi). If you have a trailer, it would be greatly appreciated if you could include it as well.

5) RESULTS

The selection will be made by Yiorgos Tsangaris (CY), artistic director of the festival and Gerben Schermer (NL), curator of animation and contemporary art. Successful entrants will be notified of their participation in the festival. The final selection of the festival will be announced in the last week of June 2024.

6) SCREENING FORMAT

Countryside Animafest Cyprus uses high quality QuickTime file for screening. We do not accept MP4’s as screening copies unless discussed otherwise with the organisation.
